Decided on ‘Golden Score’ after an epic final where extra time couldn’t separate the 2 teams. In what was described by neutrals as the final of the day we lost out by one point to Lough Cutra NS. Our players never gave up coming from 2 goals behind to go ahead in normal time, A last minute Lough Cutra goal drew the game. Went a goal down in extra time but came back to level again. The game was then agonisingly decided by the first scorer in extra-extra time. Lough Cutra scored a point from the middle of the field and it was over. We are extremely proud of all our players and supporters who represented the school with distinction. Made the journey home disappointed but showed great resilience and determination to battle right to the end.

Can’t ask for any more than that. 1-2 each at half time, 4-3 each at full time and 5-5 each at end of extra time. Poor 5th class have the onerous task of writing a report on the game tomorrow😁.

Thank you to all who helped out and a special mention to Meelick Eyrecourt club for their support today and during the year, hope these players will continue to represent the club well at camogie and hurling.

Thank you to local bus company owner Mikey Boylan for sponsoring our bus journey today and our parents association. It’s very much appreciated. Match report to follow.
